Highbury Blinds began trading in 1987 manufacturing & installing window blinds. In 1998 moved to larger premises & opened showrooms to display all the new curtains and soft furnishings added to the range of window decorations available. Very soon, fabric manufacturers were flooding through the doors, including Harlequin, Prestigious Textiles, Porter & Stone, Clarke & Clarke, Crowson, Fryetts, Today Interiors & Kobe to name a few. Of course, so many beautiful fabrics were now available but customers weren’t aware that Highbury Blinds actually manufactured Curtains, Romans, Cushions, Bedspreads & re-upholstered furniture, so decided to change the company name to Highbury Design to reflect the variety of soft furnishings on offer.
Today Highbury Design concentrate on very high quality, beautiful fabrics displayed in clients homes. Japanese Sliding Panels becoming extremely popular because the panels display patterned fabrics better than curtains. However, window blinds like Verticals & Rollers haven’t taken a backseat, still manufactured at their premises and not bought in from other countries!
